  • Focused on providing methods and tools for people to participate in everyday activities such as social activities, productive activities or self-care (showering, dressing or making food).

Podiatry

  • Podiatry helps support and treat conditions that affect your feet, ankles and legs.

What is the NDIS?

The NDIS supports people with significant and long-term disability to improve skills, become more independent, enjoy strong community connections and achieve their goals. 

Once you have an NDIS plan, you’re able to use your funding to access the services outlined in it. 

Depending on your needs, you may be able to access funding to help with things like: 

  • Personal care
  • Household tasks to allow you to maintain your home environment
  • Transport to enable participation in community, social, economic and daily life activities
  • Gaining or keeping employment in the open or supported labour market
  • Home modification design and construction
  • Vehicle modifications
  • Therapeutic support.

What can I expect from my appointment?

At your first appointment, your provider is likely to: 

  • Read through your NDIS plan
  • Ask you some questions so they can learn about your lifestyle, goals and disability
  • Examine you and assess your condition, including your muscle strength, joint mobility, balance and endurance
  • Form a service agreement with you as recommended by the NDIS
  • Obtain your permission to liaise with others in your treatment team, such as your doctors.
What can I expect from my appointment

Do I need a referral?

No, you need an NDIS plan. Your NDIS plan opens the door to the funding you need to access allied health services.
